ARE ANGELS STILL ACTIVE TODAY?
Angels are still active and working, it was not just in the Old Testament that they worked. Angels visit our church services, report back to the Lord on activities, guard and keep those who worship the Lord.
The angels of God are holy:
"...when He cometh in the glory of His Father with the holy angels."
The devil has angelic followers that also rebelled with him:
"...Depart from Me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels."
Angels have high intelligence, but still do not know the hour of the Lord's coming:
"But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but My Father only."
The angels of God are ministering spirits to the righteous:
they rejoice at the repentance of a sinner:
"Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth."
They hear the Lord confess or deny those who confess or deny Him:
"Also, I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess Me before men, him shall the Son of Man also confess before the angels of God."
They watch over as guardians of God's children, and intercede for those they watch:
"Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of My Father Who is in heaven."
They even carried the soul of Lazarus to paradise:
"And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom."
The Lord could have summoned angels to help aid Him as He was upon the cross:
"Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to My Father, and He shall presently give Me more than twelve legions of angels?"
Angels will accompany Jesus and the saints at the second coming:
"When the Son of man shall come in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then shall He sit upon the throne of His glory."
