WHO ATTACKS THIS ARMOR?
THE evil counterfeit trinity ATTACK
THOSE WHO SERVE THE HOLY TRINITY
The three, i.e. belial, sammael, and the devil, make up the devil's counterfeit trinity, the devil wants God's throne, and tries to counterfeit all that is real.
The devil, satan, Lucifer, is the head of the three in this evil trinity. The devil fell, before the creation of Adam and Eve, and his fall was followed by the fall of many others, who are evil ones.
The devil, and his evil spirit helpers can:
Matthew 13:19, Luke 8:12
Ephesians 4:27, 6:10-18, I Peter 5:8
become fierce and wrathful...
Matthew 8:28, Rev. 12:12
Luke 10:6, 27
imitate departed dead...
I Sam. 28:3-9, I Chron. 10:13, Isaiah 8:19, Deut. 18:11
wage war on the saints...
recognize those who have authority over them...
enter and possess the will of some human beings
The devil knows that he is defeated, and will meet this horrible end, but he continues to deceive, lie, and attack. The devil himself, and his demon helpers, frantically try with to lead people from God's salvation. He wants to "gloat" in eternity, that he is not the only one in the lake of fire. His only victory can be the "fools" that the "greatest fool" ever has brought to destruction.
I Peter 5:8-9
"Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith."
I Timothy 4:1
"The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons."
Demons must be discerned, tested, resisted, and rejected.
1 John 4:1-6 (KJV)
1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
5 They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.
6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
Ephesians 4:26-27 (KJV)
26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:
27 Neither give place to the devil.
Ephesians 6:10-11 (KJV)
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
1 Peter 5:8-9 (KJV)
8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
Since we are in a battle against these evil spirits of various ranks and powers, we need the armor of God. These beings that Paul is telling us we battle are these:
- the highest rank of evil power under the authority of the devil himself, these are probably like arch angels of the devil. Perhaps they were arch angels to God before their sin.
-those immediately under those of the highest rank, these are probably angels that fell with the devil in his original sin,
or angels that transgressed later, as in the days preceding the flood when they came and transgressed with women and produced a race of half-angelic giants.
kosmokratopas (rulers of the darkness of this world)
-these are the ones that rule perhaps a 1000 other demons, these are probably the spirits of the giants of the pre-flood days, and they are more powerful than other demons, because they are half-angelic, and half-human.
pneumatika ponerias ( literally, this means "wicked spirits")
- these are the normal demons that we are accustomed to dealing with in spiritual warfare, they came into existence from the humans that were of the creation before Adam, that the devil was to lead in worship to God. They were all killed in the rebellion that came as Lucifer sinned and had these beings worship him instead of God. Their spirits now roam this earth, and they desire to inhabit a human body, since they no longer have a body. They are extremely evil since they have fallen in league with the devil.
They belong in the abyss, if they are disobedient to the commands made in the name of the Lord, and many demons are already there, to be kept there, until we, who have bound them and put them therein, leave this world, then they return to wreck havoc on the world in the tribulation.
Jesus could have put these demons into the abyss, but they were obedient to his commands, so they were spared that fate. Demons today, are often not as obedient to the commands to come out, and depart, so we often have to have the angels take them to the abyss, and bind the ones disobedient to the Lord’s commands.
Luke 8:30-31 (KJV)
30 And Jesus asked him, saying, What is thy name? And he said, Legion: because many devils were entered into him.
31 And they besought Him that He would not command them to go out into the deep.
The many demon spirits, fallen angels, ruling powers, etc who are bound in the abyss will be allowed to come out after the Christians are raptured, and be given a short time to wreck their havoc on the sinful world. We find that time recorded in Rev. 9.
Revelation 9:1-3 (KJV)
1 And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit.
2 And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit.
3 And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power.
Then they return to the abyss, and await the judgment which sends them ultimately to the lake of fire.
Demons know their fate. Demons fear God, and those who act with the authority of the Lord. The devils fear when we know the power we have been given. They do not want bound in the abyss.
"...THE DEVILS BELIEVE AND TREMBLE..."
Demon possession, obsession, and oppression...
Demon oppression is when a demon spirit makes an attack on the
physical person. Jesus went about healing all who were oppressed of the devil.
"How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth, with the Holy Ghost, and with power, Who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with Him."
Jesus recognized that some sickness and disease was sourced from the devil and his demons. Demon oppression can come to saint and sinner alike, and a rebuke of the devil and demons that oppressed such a one, is needed to return health to them.
Demon obsession is when the demon plague the mind and emotions of one, suggesting evil, blinding from good, hiding from the one obsessed the truth. False accusations, evil speaking, fear and torment come from the person who is demon obsessed. This can happen to saint or sinner.
Demon possession, can only happen to the unsaved, for the saved have Jesus dwelling within them, and He will not share the room with the devils. The demons are disembodied, and missing the body they once had, they seek to control the body of another. When unable to control the man of the Gadarenes, they went into the pigs, who chose suicide to having demons possess them...
Demons when they possess a person, take over the will. The saints can, in the name of Jesus, cast out the demon, to give the will of the person another chance to choose Jesus. If they do not choose Jesus, many more demons will return later, to move back into the person. The exorcism is possibly temporary therefore.
So there is demon possession, demon obsession, and demon oppression. Demons are subject to the Lord, and to us, who use the authority given to us by the Lord.
Matthew 8:16-17 (KJV)
16 When the even was come, they brought unto Him many that were possessed with devils: and He cast out the spirits with His word, and healed all that were sick:
17 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.
Matthew 12:28 (KJV)
28 But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.
Mark 16:17 (KJV)
17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In My name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
Luke 10:17 (KJV)
17 And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through Thy name.
