In the book of Esther, there is an interesting story. A man called Haman had a great disliking for the Jews in the land of Babylon. A Jew named Mordecai had refused to bow to proud Haman. This angered Haman even more.  He determined to kill all these Jews, and especially Mordecai.  Since Mordecai was a relative of Queen Esther, he spent much time outside the gate of the palace, keeping a close watch on her.  Haman had to pass by daily, since he was second in command under the king.

Mordecai overheard a plot to kill Ahasuerus the king, as he sat near the gate.  He had the king warned, and thereby became a hero to the king.  Haman had to carefully plot to kill Mordecai, lest the king learn of Haman's desire to kill Mordecai.
Haman persuaded the king to order the killing of Jews for disobedience to unspecified laws.  The king did not realize that Mordecai, and even his wife- Esther, were Jewish. Once signed, this law could not be rescinded by even the king.

Mordecai began to pray and fast for his people.  Yet, he still refused to bow to Haman, or anyone other than his God.  Then Mordecai informed Esther of the plot.

Esther bravely approached the king, without being summoned.  This could have resulted in her death, yet - the king accepted her and asked what she wanted.  She requested to serve the king and Haman a great banquet.

Haman proudly came to the dinner.  The meal went so well, that the king offered to grant Esther anything she desired.  The queen asked to have another banquet for Haman and the king.  There she would tell them  of  her request.  Haman was delirious with the double honor.

While these banquets were transpiring, gallows were being built for Mordecai by the subjects of Haman.  His scheme was soon to transpire whereby on a particular day the people would be allowed to kill the Jews.

At the second banquet, the king asked Esther of her petition.  She told the king that soon her, and her people, were facing a death sentence, and asked that her people be spared. Haman followed Esther to her bedroom, to request mercy - since he now realized the danger he faced since the queen was a Jew.  The king came to the bedroom to find Haman there, and angrily had Haman put on the gallows awaiting outside. Therefore Haman died on the gallows he had prepared for Mordecai.

Then the king wrote a new decree that allowed the Jews to gather and arm themselves.  He then granted permission for the Jews to kill any and all who attempted to kill them. This second decree so scared the people of the land that many decided to become Jews.

Since there was great hatred by Haman, and others like him - against the Jews ... so in these last days there is much hatred for born-again, evangelical Christians.  There are "Haman's" in power who are currently plotting and scheming to harm Christians.  They hate Christians because of our Biblical standards that speak out against abortion, sexual permissiveness, perversion, homosexuality, etc.

We need Mordecai's to refuse to bow when laws are passed that violate God's laws.  We need Mordecai's that are not afraid to confront the Haman's and say "NO!"

We need Esther's to bravely walk up to government leaders and seek justice, and fair treatment for the Christians. She had the intestinal fortitude to approach the ruler of the land, and could have lost her life with her actions.

The wicked are gaining much power in our government.  People who are greatly wicked have been elected, and many more wicked are being appointed to powerful jobs.  So now what???

Proverbs 29:2
"When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice, but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn."

This is a truth of the Word of God, undoubtedly true. When the people elect a man to the Presidency who is obviously unsaved, we can expect nothing more than the "mourning" that is predicted for such situations.

Yet, the majority of Americans are not aware of the danger that is no longer "out on the horizon", but is present and already in operation.

II Timothy 3:1
"...in the last days, perilous times will come..."

The government is not resisting many plots against Christians.  The media is covering up many dastardly attacks against Christians and their civil rights.  Many American people are spiritually asleep.  Many churches are isolating themselves from reality, and hiding themselves inside the four walls of the sanctuary.

Too many Christians are W.I.M.P.S.
What are W.I.M.P.S.????
W. = Weak Christians who do not realize we are in a spiritual battle in these last days against the devil and his converts.

I. = Ignorant Christians who do not "watch" [stay awake] in these last days as we have been commanded. How can we know what to battle, resist, and pray about - if we don't stay aware of current events that affect our country???
M = Mortified Christians who are too scared to ever stand up against sin, perversion, murder, or any other sinful practice of our land.  They hide inside the church, and hope sin all goes away.
P.S. = Pew Sitters who do no more for Jesus than fill a pew at church service time. Spiritually deluded they think no more is required of them. They sit, sing, listen to a few sermons [as long as their toes are not stepped on], then go out and live blinded to the attack on their Christian brothers who are on the firing line.

These W.I.M.P.S.  are unaware of the attack that has already started.  Pro-lifers are being portrayed as a bunch of radicals, who are dangerous.  The pro-abortion murderers of the unborn, are being portrayed as people in fear of their lives from a few hymn singing, praying people standing on the sidewalk in front of their killing clinics.
We need Mordecai's!  We need Esther's! We need Christians who will cease being W.I.M.P.S.!  We can trust in the Lord. We need to be strong in faith.  We must not fearfully hide in our homes or churches.  Let's pray! But let us not simply pray...  We must begin to  speak out to this nation, a word of warning from the Lord.

Psalms 32:7
"You are my hiding place, You will protect me from trouble, and surround me with songs of deliverance."

Ephesians 6:12--18
"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.  And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: praying always with all prayer and supplication, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.
