1. After those black waters came bright waters. These was Abraham and his generations.
2. They had an unwritten law, and lived in the commandments they had been given, knowing that there would be judgment for sin, but they chose to hope in the promises of life that would come to the righteous.
3. These are those next bright waters which you observed.
Hebrews 11:8-10, 13-16
{8} By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going.
{9} By faith he dwelt in the land of promise as in a foreign country, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise;
{10} for he waited for the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God.
{13} These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off were assured of them, embraced them and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.
{14} For those who say such things declare plainly that they seek a homeland.
{15} And truly if they had called to mind that country from which they had come out, they would have had opportunity to return.
{16} But now they desire a better, that is, a heavenly country. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them."

God called Abraham a "friend" and a "prophet".
Genesis 20:7
"Now therefore, restore the man's wife; for he is a prophet, and he will pray for you and you shall live. But if you do not restore her, know that you shall surely die, you and all who are yours."

"Abraham" means "father of a multitude" and was changed from "Abram" which means "elevation."

From Abraham came many nation.
Genesis 25:1-6 NKJV
{1} Abraham again took a wife, and her name was Keturah.
2} And she bore him Zimran, Jokshan, Medan, Midian, Ishbak, and Shuah.
{3} Jokshan begot Sheba and Dedan. And the sons of Dedan were Asshurim,
Letushim, and Leummim.
{4} And the sons of Midian were Ephah, Epher, Hanoch, Abidah, and Eldaah. All these were the children of Keturah.
{5} And Abraham gave all that he had to Isaac.
{6} But Abraham gave gifts to the sons of the concubines which Abraham had; and while he was still living he sent them eastward, away from Isaac his son, to the country of the east."

The descendants of these sons of Abraham were later referred to as "the people of the east".

Genesis 29:1 NKJV
"So Jacob went on his journey and came to the land of the people of
the East."

Matthew 2 tells us that the wise men that visited Jesus came "from the east":
Matthew 2:1-2
{1} Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the East came to Jerusalem,
{2} saying, "Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the East and have come to worship Him."

The prophecies of their forefather, Abraham, had been passed down from son to son, and they (the wise men) anxiously awaited the promised "Seed". Enoch had preached about the coming of Jesus, even before the time of Abraham, and therefore Abraham knew from that Scripture, and from personal revelation about the promised One.

Jude 14-15 NKJV
{14} Now Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men also, saying, "Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of His saints,
{15} "to execute judgment on all, to convict all who are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have committed in an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him."

Abraham had spoken with the pre-incarnate Christ Jesus on a number of occasions:
Genesis 22:15
"Then the Angel of the LORD called to Abraham a second time out of heaven."

Some of these revelations, were likely part, if not all, of the "gifts" mentioned that Abraham bestowed upon the sons that he had sent to the "east".
