Part 2

IN THIS TIME OF THE VIRUS PLAGUE
WE NEED PERSISTENT FAITH

Matthew 9:20-22
"...a woman... diseased with an issue of blood 12 years... touched the hem of His garment...she said within herself, If I may but touch His garment, I shall be whole. Thy faith hath made thee whole."

The woman could not reach Jesus, and get His attention easily. She determined to get her healing. She knew the answer lay in Jesus, and she decided that simply to touch the hem of His garment would be sufficient to guarantee her healing. She had to push, and push to get through the crowd. Finally, she persisted until she could touch His hem.

Virtue flowed from Jesus to this woman, and He felt the virtue leave His body.  Jesus responds to faith, persistent faith.  Virtue flowed from His body naturally, when persistent faith was touching Him.

Jesus asked the disciples: "Who touched Me?" and the disciples answered that many had touched Him. Yet, their touches did not bring miracles. The touch of a woman who had persistent faith brought healing. The Lord demands that we seek His gifts with persistence. If we do not, the miracle may be absent.

In our time, the news media speaks without the faith that we Christians are supposed to have, If we allow the media to be our god, we are like the unsaved.  So, to have faith in a sovereign God, and His power will bring scorn and mockery.

Matthew 9:24-25
"...the maid is not dead but sleepeth... they laughed Him to scorn... when the people were put forth, He went in and took her by the hand, and the maid arose..."

The spirit of this girl had not departed from the room, but was still present, and able to be re-called into the body again. Jesus knew this, and did raise the young girl to life.

Still, the laughter and scorn of the crowd round about the event is not uncommon. Those who believe in miracles, who can relate some that have already happened, and especially those who believe more are going to happen will face scorn, laughter, ridicule, derision, and mockery.

IF WE TRULY BELIEVE IN MIRACLES, AND THE SOVEREIGN WILL OF GOD, THE VIRUS PLAGUE WILL BE RECOGNIZED AS A WICKED PLAN OF THE DEVIL, NOT OF GOD, AND WE WILL FACE THE PLAGUE WITH PERSISTENT FAITH, NOT WITH FEAR.

Matthew 9:27-31
"Two blind men followed Him, crying and saying, Thou Son of David, have mercy on us. ...Believe ye that I am able?... Yea, Lord! ...He touched their eyes... according to your faith be it unto you."

The insistence and cries of these two blind men, who had never seen Jesus, but had heard enough about Him that they knew more about Who He was than most seeing people of the day.

These two blind men truly believed that Jesus could make them see. As their faith, they received. If we truly believe in miracles, there will be miracles of different sorts in our lives.  Those who believe in dreams and visions have dreams and visions. Those who believe in healings will see the same. Those who believe that God will supply financial blessings will have them, and if we get people believing in resurrections from the dead, they too will occur!

If we ever take a good look at what God has promised to us, and choose to believe, we will have the double portion. Some do not believe in a miraculous double portion revival, and they will not have part in such.

Jesus could not do many miracles in His home area, for they looked at Him as "only a carpenter's Son."  Therefore, Jesus did not do many miracles there, and soon departed from such unbelief.

The insistent cries of the two blind men showed their faith, and the words of our mouths will show either our faith, or our lack of it!  What do your words show about your faith.  What have you been saying about the coronna virus?  Are they words of faith in God, or trust in the world’s definition of the plague?

Matthew 9:32-34
"...brought to Him a dumb man possessed of a devil... And when the devil was cast out, the dumb spake and the multitudes marvelled, saying, It was never so seen in Israel... But the Pharisees said, He casteth out devils through the prince of devils."

Demons can inflict sickness, maladies, and pain. Jesus can easily speak to such demonic manifestations, and the rhema word cannot be resisted. Even when the world is not accustomed to seeing such miracles, they will occur.

The Lord may ask of us faith, and the hope and faith for such miracles is necessary for us to be involved in participating in the double portion time. Whether the rest of the world believes or not, miracles are on the way!

The "multitudes" of that day were shocked at the miracles of Jesus. The "Pharisees" even had to falsely attack Jesus due to their thoughts that such miracles as they had seen could not be really possible. The devils are subject to the faith of any Christian, the multitudes will be shocked, the hypocrites of our day will attack. Still, the sick will be healed, the blind will see, the deaf will hear, the dumb will speak, the demons will flee, the dead will arise, the lepers will be cleansed, the virus plagued will be healed, and the storms will cease. The miraculous will not be the unusual anymore

What are supposed to do? Surely, we respond to the government orders.  Unless, they deviate from God’s Word, we obey the government.  We take wise precautions, we still trust God, and do not fear this plague, That way, when God speaks to our heart of faith, we are able to be used of God. If we have persistent faith, God will give miraculous miracles.
